Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 10, 2026. WorkConfirmed provides a service that allows service businesses to document completed work and request confirmation from their customers. This Privacy Policy explains how WorkConfirmed collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use WorkConfirmed, we may collect:
- Account information. When a business user creates or accesses an account, we collect information such as an email address, password credentials, and authentication information.
- Business information. Businesses may provide a business name, city, state, website address, portfolio address, and other business profile information.
- Project information. Businesses and authorized submitters may provide information about completed work, including project descriptions, service categories, completion dates, city and state, project photos, job addresses, and submitter names.
- Customer confirmation information. When a business requests confirmation of completed work, WorkConfirmed may temporarily process a customer's email address or mobile telephone number to deliver or facilitate the confirmation request. We also record information necessary to document the confirmation process, such as confirmation status, method, timestamps, masked contact information, and technical evidence used to maintain the integrity of the confirmation record.
- Customer responses. Customers may confirm that a project represents work completed for them or privately indicate that something about the project is inaccurate or incomplete. Private issue responses are made available to the applicable business and are not displayed as public reviews.
- Technical information. Like most online services, our systems and service providers may process technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as IP addresses, browser or device information, request logs, and authentication/session information.
- Product analytics. We use a product analytics provider to help us understand website usage, signup and onboarding activity, product feature usage, conversion through the WorkConfirmed workflow, and aggregate retention and usage patterns. This information is used to improve WorkConfirmed and understand how the service is used.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide and operate WorkConfirmed;
- create and maintain business accounts and portfolios;
- receive and manage completed-work records;
- deliver customer confirmation requests;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- document whether a customer confirmation occurred;
- allow customers to privately report inaccurate or incomplete project information;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and manipulation of confirmation records;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and security of the service;
- analyze aggregate usage and workflow completion to improve WorkConfirmed;
- comply with applicable law and protect the rights and safety of WorkConfirmed, our users, and others.
3. Public and Private Information
WorkConfirmed is designed to separate public project information from private information. A project is not presented as Customer Confirmed unless it has completed WorkConfirmed's confirmation process. Customer names, customer email addresses, customer telephone numbers, job street addresses, submitter identities, and private customer issue responses are not displayed in the public WorkConfirmed portfolio. Public Customer Confirmed project records may include the service business's information, project title and description, service category, general location such as city and state, completion date, project photos, confirmation status, and confirmation date.
4. Customer Contact Information
Customer email addresses and mobile telephone numbers supplied for confirmation requests are used to facilitate the requested confirmation process. WorkConfirmed is designed to minimize retention of raw customer contact information associated with a confirmation request. Raw confirmation-recipient contact information is cleared from the active confirmation workflow after events such as successful confirmation, cancellation, or certain issue-resolution states, while limited evidence such as masked contact information, fingerprints or hashes, timestamps, and confirmation records may be retained to protect the integrity of the record and prevent abuse.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate WorkConfirmed, such as providers of hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, email delivery, telecommunications or verification services, security, product analytics, and related technical services.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests; investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; enforce our agreements; or protect rights, property, or safety.
WorkConfirmed does not sell personal information or share personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Cookies, Sessions, and Tracking
WorkConfirmed uses a product analytics provider to understand website usage, signup and onboarding activity, product feature usage, conversion through the WorkConfirmed workflow, and aggregate retention and usage patterns. This analytics provider may use cookies or similar local-storage technologies to recognize browsers and distinguish unique visitors. Analytics data is used to improve WorkConfirmed and understand how the service is used.
WorkConfirmed does not use analytics for targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
The service also uses functionality necessary to operate the website and application, including authentication/session technologies that keep signed-in users authenticated and a functional preference that may remember interface state.
WorkConfirmed does not use browser Do Not Track signals to alter website behavior because we do not engage in behavioral advertising tracking through the website. If our practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, preserve the integrity of Customer Confirmed records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and its purpose. Certain confirmation evidence may be retained as part of the historical integrity of a Customer Confirmed project even after raw customer contact information has been removed.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Requests
Depending on your relationship with WorkConfirmed and applicable law, you may request information about personal information associated with you, request correction or deletion of certain information, or ask questions about how information is handled.
Some information may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or preservation of the integrity of a Customer Confirmed record.
Requests may be submitted using the contact information provided below.
10. California Privacy
California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws. The availability and scope of particular rights depend on the law and whether it applies to WorkConfirmed.
WorkConfirmed does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11. Children's Privacy
WorkConfirmed is intended for businesses and their customers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the service.
12. Third-Party Services
WorkConfirmed relies on third-party service providers to operate portions of the service. Those providers may process information on our behalf subject to their respective agreements and privacy obligations.
Links to third-party websites are governed by the privacy practices of those third parties.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as WorkConfirmed evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
